What Coinlio does today, what it does not do yet, and how your data is handled. Still stuck? Email support.
Coinlio is an iPhone portfolio tracker built around trade analytics. You keep a precise ledger of your buys and sells, and the app turns that history into closed round trips and performance metrics — Profit Factor, R-Multiple, Expectancy, win rate, holding period, drawdown, concentration. Everything is computed on device at decimal precision, with fees included.
Most trackers answer “what is my portfolio worth?”. Coinlio answers “is my trading actually working?”. A balance chart cannot tell you whether you cut winners early, whether a good month was skill or a bull market, or how much of your result came from one oversized position. The metrics on the Insights tab can.
Any iPhone running iOS 16.6 or later. iPad and Android are not supported yet; a native iPad layout is on the roadmap.
Market data covers thousands of coins through CoinGecko, including every major asset and most mid-cap tokens. If a coin has a CoinGecko listing, you can search for it and add it to a portfolio.
No, and by design. Coinlio never holds keys, seed phrases or funds, and it cannot place orders or move anything. It is a record and an analysis layer on top of trading you do elsewhere.
No. Your holdings and transactions are never sold, shared or used for advertising or behavioural profiling. Website analytics are consent-gated and default to denied until you accept. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
Yes. Portfolios, transactions and computed metrics live in a local database on the phone, and the analytics run on device. The app opens and works with no connection — only live market prices need the network, and the last known prices stay on screen until they refresh.
Not to start tracking. An account is only needed if you turn on cloud backup, which keeps a copy of your ledger so you can restore it on a new device. Sign-in is by email or Google.
With cloud backup enabled, your data is restored after you reinstall and sign in. In local-only mode the data is removed with the app, because it never left the device — so if you keep a long history, turn backup on in Settings.
Backup and authentication run on Supabase, encrypted in transit over TLS and at rest, with row-level rules so your rows are readable only by your account. No keys, seed phrases or card details are ever stored — payments are handled entirely by the App Store.
Not yet — that is the honest answer. Binance sync with read-only keys and guided CSV import are in active development, together with the reconciliation step that merges both sources without duplicating trades. Today you build the ledger in the app, which is why the transaction editor is built for speed. Per-exchange export guides are already published in the help centre so your files are ready when import ships.
No. Sync is being built read-only: the key you create must have trading and withdrawal permissions switched off, and the app refuses keys that carry them. Coinlio reads history, nothing more.
Not yet. Tax reports, and the FIFO and average-cost engines behind them, are planned and being designed now. What already exists is the part that cannot be retrofitted later: a fee-aware, decimal-precision ledger with FIFO round-trip pairing, so the transactions you enter today stay usable the day reports ship.
Full CSV and PDF export ship alongside the import work. The principle does not change with the release: it is your ledger, and nothing you enter gets locked inside the app.
Nothing. Every shipped feature — portfolios, the transaction ledger, the full Insights metric set, alerts — is free while Pro is in development. There is no trial clock running in the background and no card required.
Pro will be $4.99 a month or $34.99 a year with a 7-day trial. It adds unlimited portfolios, full history and benchmarks, then import, export and tax reports as those ship. Free keeps 3 portfolios and 10 price alerts, and data you have already entered is never taken away from you or held hostage behind the paywall.
Billing runs through the App Store, so cancelling is the standard iOS flow: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Coinlio. No cancellation fee, access continues to the end of the paid period, then the account returns to Free.
Write to support@coinlio.app. Coinlio is a small independent project, so feature requests are read by the person who builds them, and bug reports with a screenshot usually get a fix in the next release.
Free on the App Store. No account needed to begin, no card, no data selling.
