What is Coinlio?

Coinlio is a privacy-first cryptocurrency portfolio tracker for iPhone. It lets you manually track your crypto holdings, monitor real-time market prices, view profit & loss analytics, and manage multiple portfolios — all with an offline-first architecture that keeps your data on your device.
Is Coinlio free to use?

Yes. Coinlio has a permanent free tier that never expires. It includes 2 portfolios, 10 assets per portfolio, 2 price alerts, and 30-day chart history. You can upgrade to Pro ($4.99/mo) or Premium ($9.99/mo) for advanced features.
Which devices are supported?

Coinlio requires iOS 17 or later. Compatible with iPhone 12 and newer. iPad support is not available at this time. An Android version is on the roadmap.
What cryptocurrencies does Coinlio support?

Coinlio supports 10,000+ cryptocurrencies with live market data including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and all major altcoins and tokens. You can search and add any listed coin to your portfolio.
Privacy & Security
Does Coinlio sell my data?

Never. Your portfolio data is yours. We do not sell, share, or analyze your holdings for advertising or third parties. Privacy is not a feature — it's a core principle of how Coinlio is built.
Is Coinlio really offline-first?

Yes. All your portfolio data — holdings, transactions, P&L — is stored locally on your iPhone using a local database. The app is fully functional without internet access. Cloud sync is optional and only used for backup and multi-device access if you choose to enable it.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?

If you have cloud sync enabled, your data is backed up securely and can be restored after reinstalling. If you use offline-only mode, your data is stored locally and will be deleted when you remove the app. We strongly recommend enabling cloud backup in Settings > Backup.
Does Coinlio require an account?

An account is required for cloud sync and multi-device access. You can sign up with email/password or Google Sign-In. If you only want offline-only tracking, account creation is optional.
How is my account data protected?

Your account and sync data is protected by industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Authentication is powered by Supabase, which complies with SOC 2 Type II standards. We never store private keys or wallet seed phrases — Coinlio is a tracking app, not a wallet.
Features
Can I track DeFi positions?
+
DeFi tracking (LP positions, staking rewards, on-chain balances) is planned for a future Premium update. Currently, you can manually add DeFi holdings as assets in your portfolio.
Does Coinlio support exchange API sync?

Exchange sync is available on Pro (up to 5 exchanges) and Premium (unlimited). Connections are read-only — Coinlio can never trade or withdraw funds on your behalf.
Can I export my data?

CSV export is available on Pro and Premium. PDF export (including tax reports) is available on Premium. Both can be found in Settings > Export.
What cost basis methods does Coinlio use?

Free and Pro use average cost basis. Premium unlocks FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out), which are required for accurate capital gains reporting in many jurisdictions.
Billing & Subscriptions
How do I subscribe to Pro or Premium?

Tap Settings > Subscription inside the app to view plans and subscribe. All billing is handled securely through Apple's App Store — we never store your payment information.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. Go to iPhone Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Coinlio to cancel. No cancellation fees. Your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period, then reverts to the Free tier.
Is there a family or team plan?

Not at this time. Each account requires its own subscription. We're considering family sharing options for a future release.
