1. Who We Are

Coinlio ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent iOS application for personal cryptocurrency portfolio tracking, available at coinlio.app and on the Apple App Store. For questions, contact us at privacy@coinlio.app.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information — If you create an account: email address and display name (required for cloud sync). You may also sign in via Google, in which case we receive your name and email from Google.
• Portfolio data — Coins, quantities, buy/sell transactions, portfolios, and price alerts you manually enter. This data is stored locally on your device first.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

• Crash reports and diagnostics — Anonymous crash logs collected via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. This data does not include your portfolio or financial information.
• App analytics — Anonymous usage events (e.g., screen views, feature usage) collected via Firebase Analytics to understand which features are most used. No personally identifiable information is included.
• Device information — iOS version, device model, and app version — used only for diagnostics and compatibility.

2.3 What We Do NOT Collect

• Your private keys, wallet seed phrases, or exchange API secrets
• Precise location data
• Contacts, photos, or camera access
• Behavioral advertising profiles
• Data sold to or shared with advertisers

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Coinlio app
• Enable optional cloud sync and multi-device access
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset) — no marketing emails without your explicit opt-in
• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs
• Understand aggregate feature usage to guide development priorities
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Data Storage and Offline-First Architecture

Coinlio is built offline-first. Your portfolio data — holdings, transactions, P&L calculations — is stored locally on your device using an encrypted local database. The app functions fully without an internet connection.

Cloud sync is an optional feature. If you enable it, your portfolio data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored in our cloud infrastructure (Supabase, hosted on AWS). You can disable cloud sync at any time in Settings > Account, and request deletion of your cloud data by contacting us.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — We use Supabase (cloud database), Firebase (analytics, crash reporting), and Apple (authentication, payments). These providers process data only on our behalf and under strict data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements — If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
• Business transfers — If Coinlio is acquired or merged, your data may be transferred to the successor entity. You will be notified via email or in-app notice.

5.1 Website Analytics (coinlio.app)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage (page views, session counts, referrer, country-level location). We do not collect personally identifiable information and you can decline via the banner on your first visit. Analytics cookies default to denied under Google Consent Mode v2 and are only enabled after you press Accept.

6. Market Price Data

Coinlio fetches real-time cryptocurrency prices from a third-party market data API. This is done anonymously — no personal identifiers or portfolio data are sent to the price data provider during these requests.

7. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Subscriptions (Pro, Premium) are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. Coinlio does not receive or store your payment card information. Billing is governed by Apple's terms of service.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated cloud data. To delete: go to Settings > Account > Delete Account, or email privacy@coinlio.app.
• Data portability — Export your portfolio data via the CSV/PDF export feature (Pro/Premium) or request a data export by email.
• Opt-out of analytics — Disable anonymous analytics in Settings > Privacy.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@coinlio.app. We respond to all requests within 30 days.

9. Data Retention

Local data on your device is retained until you delete the app or clear app data. Cloud sync data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, your cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained for up to 26 months for product improvement purposes.

10. Children's Privacy

Coinlio is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at privacy@coinlio.app.

11. International Users

If you are located outside the United States, please note that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using Coinlio, you consent to such transfers. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. Coinlio does not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@coinlio.app.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Coinlio after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
